Hi! I’m a writer and a new blogger, but I’m also a mother and a grandmother. I have many interests and do many crafty things, and am finding that at this point in life, I’m becoming an entrepreneur, working on forming multiple streams of income. I’ve learned a lot from reading other blogs and want to share what I’ve learned. I love to read and will stop doing housework in a hot minute to sit with a good book and, of course, a cup of tea. I was married for 30 years and am separated now, and it has been a hard transition. Along the way, I have worked at growing myself and finding a fulfilling life, so will share some of that knowledge with you as well.
I write for Examiner.com and am the Child Development writer and the Sewing writer for the Atlantic City, NJ area. I make and sell jewelry but love sewing, knitting, and crocheting too. I’ve tried tole painting and have sold many of my “country” pieces. (I love snowmen!) As I learn more about blogging, I’ll be posting pictures of all of this and sharing links to my articles.
My background is in Education and I have taught preschool through eighth grade. I’ve been an administrator for child care programs and have also given some training for teachers. I have raised a son to manhood and now have a beautiful grandson. I love being “Grandma” and especially love rubbing noses with him. That’s his prelude to a kiss and it brings joy to my heart to have him in my life.
So pour a cup of tea, get comfortable, and lets just talk about things. I hope you like what I write and will share your comments with me.
